Square

Square was a concept for an online food ordering service with a unique approach – using an auction model to let users bid on meals. The goal was to explore alternative ways of structuring food delivery, creating a system where restaurants could offer surplus meals dynamically while users got better deals.

Process

To define the concept, I started by mapping out user flows and service interactions, focusing on how an auction-driven ordering experience would work in practice. This involved breaking down the bidding process into a structured flow.

I designed flows and high-fidelity UI, balancing a clean, intuitive interface with the complexity of real-time bidding. The design emphasized clear decision points, easy navigation, and visual hierarchy to guide users through the auction mechanics without friction.

Outcome

The final concept demonstrated how an auction-based approach to food ordering could create a new kind of engagement for both customers and restaurants. While it remained a concept, the project was an interesting exploration of user motivation and interface design.
